Lisa Kirsch Satawa is an experienced defense attorney whose practice focuses on criminal defense, children's rights, adoption, and the defense of juveniles charged with crimes. Ms. Kirsch Satawa's practice has a particular specialization in defending the rights of adults and juveniles charged with sexually assaulting children, and representing parents charged with child abuse and neglect in both the criminal and termination of parental rights arena. She has extensive experience in successfully defending medically intensive child abuse and neglect cases, including Munchausen by proxy, brittle bone disease, CVID and others. Ms. Kirsch Satawa has developed an excellent reputation for her work in this area, and was selected by the Michigan Department of Human Services (DHS) (formally the Family Independence Agency - FIA) to train their caseworkers in the investigation of such matters.
